National Conference on development of Agriculture in Bihar – 2011
September 22, 2011 Indira Gandhi Planetarium Auditorium, Patna A national conference on Industrialization of Bihar agriculture was organized first time by the Inductus Foundation, Patna on Sep 22nd and 23rd 2011 at Indira Gandhi Planetarium Auditorium at Patna, the Capital City of Bihar. In this Conference over two hundred Scientists, industrialists, Government officials, Extension Officers from the department of agriculture and state universities be sides large number of farmer from various districts of Bihar participated. This seminar was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister for Transport and Public Relation, Government of Bihar by Sri Brishan Patel Jee by lighting a lamp. On this occasion Hon’ble Minister Shree Patel welcome all delegates and progressive farmers who have been participating in the conference and also stressed that role of farmers and Agricultural scientists to enhance production and productivity of crops cannot be overlooked.
Bihar is an agriculturally dominated state. Here 88 % farmers are marginal and small. The technology developed for big farmers cannot be suitable for small and marginal farmers. Hence there is need to develop technology which may suit to small & marginal farmers in Bihar- context.
The Farmers of Bihar are lucky enough who have got a Hon’ble Chief Minister, who has been taking many important steps such as formation of Agriculture Road map, Chief minister’s Quick Improved Seed Distribution program, establishment of another Agricultural University at Bhagalpur, Formation of krishi cabinet in Bihar and plantation of 50 lacs trees to make Green Bihar are testimonies of deep affection and most priority area of Shree Nitish Kumar ji which has been praised not only by the Government of India but by the government of USA, Great Britain and Australia too. I am confident that Bihar Agriculture will certainly attend the status of international standard one day.
Organization of a National Conference on the Development of Agriculture in Bihar 2011 A farmer’s journey from field to Industry is very appropriate and timely. The pious effort of Inductus Foundation to connect the farmers with industry is the need of the day in Bihar which is a state where agriculture has a great say. For the development of Agriculture, I will see that better transport facility is provided to the farmer in rural area. On this occasion Sri Alok Kumar managing Director Inductus Foundation welcome the guests and delegates who have come from different parts of India as well as Bihar. Mr. Kumar Pointed out that we have been seriously working in the field of HR Management as well as Agriculture too, and this conference is our first step towards development of Bihar Agriculture because agriculture is source of livelihoods of 88%population of Bihar. Hence we have selected to work for the service of humanity. He further expressed that if we got the cooperation of farmers, capitalists and government we have potentialities to excel in field of Agriculture development in Bihar. Dr. Rajamni Sinha, Shri Baleshwar Sharma, Shri Anil Kumar and Archan Deb also addressed the conference and expressed that the govt. of Bihar is dedicated and devoted for agriculture development in the State.
